Licandies started out as a simple yet challenging idea: A new way of seeing things, which in turn became the foundation of a wide variety of sweet products.
Crystalizing sugar over dried fruit was a grand challenge at first, but we wanted to make our vision a reality. And that we did!
Now countless experiments, mistakes, and lessons later, we finally have figured out the way to do it. Our crystalization method ensures a perfectly smooth surface finish that is more like jewelry than candy. And we did it without the need for any additives or preservatives.
The mind behind this mesmerizing idea is Lida Sheshpari, who found her calling seven years ago. Just like Steve Jobs and Apple, she started working on her dream from her father's garage and sold the product in an online candy shop named Licandies. It was a success, and she soon realized there are a lot of candy-loving perfectionists all over the world. So she decided to call her brand LiCandies and start making candies for them.
A year after, the first LiCandies workshop officially began operations. Now, six years and lots of innovative hard work later, we have managed to build special-purpose machinery and equipment tailored to our specific needs with the help of a young and ambitious engineering team. This industrialization has helped us maintain our quality while providing for ever-increasing demand. It has also enabled us to keep the innovation and creativity spirit alive, culminating in a collection of sixteen different tastes of beautifully crafted all-natural rock candies.
